Start with the type of opening
A standard interior door, a hidden frame, a heavy pivot entry and a fire-rated assembly can require different labor, preparation and hardware. Comparing a per-door headline price without those details can hide differences in scope.
The factors to include
Send the number of openings and whether existing frames or trim will be retained. Identify removal work, opening repairs, finish work and access restrictions. Exterior and rated openings also need their applicable documentation and permitting reviewed.
- Door system, size, weight and hardware
- Number of openings and repeatable details
- Existing frame and wall condition
- Removal, preparation, trim and finishing
- Access, permits and project-specific requirements

TrueFrames offers a free measurement visit. Ask the proposal to identify products, installation, exclusions and any work by others. We do not publish a universal installation price because it would not reflect those differences.
Opening preparation changes the scope
A heavier or different door system may require a different frame, support arrangement or opening preparation. Ask whether repairs, reinforcement, removal and finish restoration are included. We review the actual opening so those tasks can be priced clearly.
Can a longer lead time reduce the door package price?
For large new construction, full remodeling or revitalization projects that can wait more than two months, TrueFrames can purchase materials and hardware specifically for the project volume and offer better pricing. This is a separate procurement option from our two-week production and delivery offer for all door models and volumes. Ask for a comparison; installation is scoped separately.
